Our little helper.....

When we were decorating our Christmas tree I look over and there is Case helping himself to the beads we use for the tree. If you look close you will see he has them around his neck and he is digging into the storage container to see what else he can find. He was quite sure the Christmas bulbs were "balls", but we finally were able to get him to leave the tree alone. Actually he is doing quite well staying out of the tree.
However, we have not been bold enough to place any wrapped gifts under the tree, especially since our fellow 2 year old troublemaker (cousin Carsen) decided to unwrap the gifts at the Miller house! :-) However, he did get to slightly open a gift as "Aunt Lynn" sent the boys a book in the mail. You would of thought she sent them gold. Corbin was tickled to get mail and then to open it and find a wrapped gift was icing on the cake. Thanks Aunt Lynn, you made a couple little boys day and as usual left a good friend knowing she is lucky to have you in her life!!!

Not everyone loves Santa.........

So our little Caser wants no part of this Santa Claus and as you can tell Corbin is not so sure about getting any too close. He did briefly mutter that he wanted a tractor for Christmas which I was happy he at least got that out. I think the best part of their whole trip to see Santa was the candy cane at the end. I made them wait until they got home to eat them and Corbin quickly crunched right through his. Case sucked on it as much as I would let him and enjoyed it thoroughly. We went to Treehouse books downtown Holland which was nice compared to the mall. Can't believe Christmas is only 1 week away. We have some shopping and lots of wrapping to go. Even some returning to do since other folks got some of the things I got!!

Sponges

Why is it little ones seem to soak up everything you say? Three can be a trying age, but it is most definitely a cute age! The other day Dan said something Corbin must not of agreed with because all of a sudden I hear Corbin say, "Oh Please Dan!" while rolling his eyes. That is definitely what I say when I think Dan is being a bit melodramatic! Last Saturday we ran in to Kohls and decided to pick up an Elmo doll for Caser. Dan took the boys to the car so we could be all sneaky about our purchase. Once in the car Dan tells Corbin we should leave mommy here. Corbin thinks this is a grand idea. Dan tells him, "No, we can't leave mommy here, that would not be nice!" What would my sweet little angel say, but "No Daddy, let's leave mommy here......I AM SERIOUS!" How a three old determines he is serious is beyond me. I guess it goes right along with the, "You are making me sad, mama!" when he does not get his way.

Caser baby suffers from the same problem our dear baby Kayli does. No matter how old he gets I think he will always be "Baby" Case! However, he is getting to be quite the big boy. He tells me HoHoHo and says Sanda! Lately he thinks he is talking on the phone to "ama".......I hear "Hewo Ama, Hewo." At that point I pretty much know he has been "shopping", that is what we call it when he goes where he is not suppose to be to find what he is not suppose to have! Quite frequently I tell my kid, NO SHOPPING CASE!!!

I am hoping to get some pictures in the schedule this weekend as well as a quick trip to the mall and see if the boys will have a picture with Santa. I am thinking Corbin will do it, but probably not our Caseroo. Might be a picture with Daddy in it too this year! I never got 1 year pics of Case and no 3 year pics for Corbin....been a bit behind but isn't that the story of my life. I still have some shopping to do for Christmas so that might have to be on the list as well.

We also bought a new Camcorder this last weekend so I am hoping to get some footage I can download and put on this blog. A guy I used to work with, Tim, has a family blog his wife keeps and she does a fabulous job with slide shows and video footage. It is quite the nice one. I am hoping to spruce my way boring blog up a bit!! On that note, pushing bed time. Have a great night all and thanks again Kristin for watching the boys tonight. It was very nice of you and as mean as Corbin can be, he likes giving you grief!!
